Email notifications appear as spam

Hi all,

Does anyone have any idea how I can avoid my notification emails being delivered to clients / customers as spam?

Also, the free version of bookly gives 5 services, how many does the pro version provide?

Many thanks,

Jordan

    Hi Jordan,

Your email messages directly depend on your hosting provider and mail server configuration. Bookly doesn't provide a mail server, doesn't send email messages independently, and doesn't affect the mail server of your hosting provider. Bookly just use the native WordPress wp_mail() function. This function sends any email messages on the entire site, not only Bookly.

how many does the pro version provide?

Bookly PRO allows you to create unlimited number of services.

  • Hi Jordan.

The same thing happened to me, to the point that the server blocked my email account for 60 minutes every X emails sent by Bookly.

I contacted technical support and they practically told me to find my life, which is not the fault of the plugin. However, checking the logs shows the information saying that google considers these emails as spam due to the type of content (citations, ICS files and the headers of the emails that the plugin attaches).

Anyway, having said this, I can tell you that I have had to look for life and I will tell you what has worked for me, at least for the moment:

    1. Install a plugin to send emails from your Wordpress: I recommend "WP Mail SMTP"
    2. Then sign up for "Sendinblue" (the free option includes 300 emails per day).
    3. Configure the "WP Mail SMTP" plugin with your "Sendinblue" data.

With this, the problem that is due to what you mentioned above has been solved. Sendinblue incorporates security protocols in the headers of its emails that "weigh" more than Bookly includes.

    I hope this helps you.

    All the best.
