Block clients so they cannot book appointments.

Hello.

I need to block certain "unwelcome" clients so that they cannot book appointments.

Until now I have created a "Personalized Customer Group" with the corresponding Add-on and their appointments are put in the "Pending" status, but that is not enough since the gaps remain as "busy" in addition to filling my agenda with appointments that are not going to take place.

I need that when a client enters a name, telephone and/or email "banned" the system prevents them from booking an appointment. It would be nice if the system showed a message something like "you have been blocked and you are not allowed to book an appointment".

Is there any way to do it? Anyone can think of the way?

Thanks for your time!

  • Hi there,

With the latest Bookly Customer Groups (Add-on) (version 2.6), you're able to use all statuses for your custom group, including Cancelled and Rejected. You can also skip payment step for such customers, and then in the Appearance section > Done step > Form view in case of payment has been skipped, enter the message you want.

Let us know if it works for you.

  • Hi!
Thanks for your answer but that option does not work properly. I have already done that myself and these clients continue to book appointments. Appointments are marked as "canceled" or "declined" directly, but those appointments continue to appear on the calendar and on Google's calendar, filling gaps that other customers could use.
Likewise, when said clients book one of these appointments they do not receive the notice corresponding to the status of the appointment (canceled or rejected).
This is why I have asked about the option of blocking clients or being able to implement this option in future updates.

  • Hi,

Though you can see cancelled or rejected appointments in both calendars, those do not block time slots, so that if the 'unwelcome' client booked with you and their appointment status is automatically set to Cancelled, this time will still be available for other clients.

  • Hi!
But the problem is that the client either receives the email / SMS with the appointment confirmation or he does not receive anything and he assumes that the appointment has been made correctly. The canceled or declined appointment email / SMS is not sent automatically when this type of client book an appointment.
And, on the other hand, the fact that the calendar (bookly and Google) shows canceled and rejected appointments is very bad because that "dirties" the work interface. There you can have another idea for a future update.
    Greetings.
