Compound, Collaborative or Other?

Bookly is a top notch plugin, but I am very frustrated with one element and I'm frankly shocked I don't see the forum covered with this issue.

I have Bookly handling room bookings. Two of those rooms can be combined to form one big room. When the one big room is booked, I want the two smaller rooms to be "unbookable".

This is not possible!!!

Yes, both Compound and Collaborate add-ons will allow this in one way or another... but only if you don't use Custom Duration. How is this possible? I can imagine very few applications of a booking software that does not require Custom Duration.

What is extra frustrating is that if I don't use either of these add-ons, I am able to assign multiple staff to one service...and I'm able to assign multiple services (rooms) to one staff member. So, the system should be able to resolve this without any further coding.

So, if anyone is reading this, please help! What have I missed? Conflict resolution of this nature is available in free plugins so I'm beside myself that it is not available in Bookly. Is there any way to make this happen or do I need to chuck Bookly in the bin and start over? Thanks for any insight!!

  • Hello Vince,

If this feature is critical for your business, please vote for the existing feature request here:

Make Bookly Collaborative Services add-on compatible with Custom Duration add-on – https://ideas.booking-wp-plugin.com/public/ideas/8759

We're constantly working on plugin's improvement, so it's actively developing – your feature request may be implemented in one of the future releases if it gets enough votes.

    Best regards.
