Automatic Payment Status Update
Is it possible to automatically update the payment status to "Approved" when a payment is made via PayPal Standard? Right now it still lists all payments as "pending" even though the client has made the payment. Does that have to be done manually? I'm hoping it can update automatically!

I'm just about to implement PP Standard Add-On so I'm concerned that this doesn't happen automatically. Do we need to do anything within PayPal to permit this? The documentation on setting up Bookly PayPal Payments Standard Add on is quite minimal, especially how to test in Sandbox mode without Public seeing it as a payment option.
Is there an update on this? I'm also experiencing the same issue. When a PayPal payment is made, checking the Payments screen on Bookly, the payment from the customer stays in Pending ststus, even though checking on PayPal the payment is complete.
It seems that Bookly on your site doesn't receive the PayPal IPN. There are several reason why it can happen: the firewall on your server blocks the PayPal IPN, some settings in your PayPal dashboard prevent sending IPN. Also, please note that PayPal Standard payment gateway works correctly for the old PayPal accounts only. For the new accounts please use the PayPal Checkout Add-on.
What you have said doesnt make sense. What do you mean Paypal Standard gateway works for old paypal accounts only? What difference does it make if my account was set up in 2015 to an account set up in 2023? I have the same issue with my business where paypal payment go to pending and then just fail and the customer definitely has funds. The booking goes onto the calender i eventually cancel it but surely there is an issue with booklys paypal integration.
