Pre-sale questions
My client is a a municipal library. They need a meeting room booking system and have these requirements; I've added my questions about these:
- a calendar, visible to the public, showing rooms available for given time periods (week, month, e.g.) before starting the booking process:
QUESTION: I don't actually see that as an option in the demos, but maybe I'm missing something? - ability to approve booking before accepting payment.
QUESTION: I assume this is handled by setting the booking status to Pending? - once a booking is approved, accept payment through Square.
QUESTION: This can be handled through the Bookly WooCommerce integration, assuming Square is set up in Woo?
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
Thank you for your message.
Bookly is designed to work with a weekly schedule. After you set up the staff member’s schedule, this schedule will be repeated for the following weeks. Please note that the system takes into account the staff member’s schedule when rendering available time slots in the front-end/booking.
So the availability offered in the booking form is based on the schedule of the staff member. Whereas, the interval of the slots offered is regulated with the time slot length as this is the basis of how the hours are divided and presented in the booking form.
The add-ons https://www.booking-wp-plugin.com/features/ are intended to help give more flexibility to achieve desired features.
Ability to approve booking before accepting the payment - right now, such option is not supported. But you can check our Bookly Deposit Payments (Add-on): https://codecanyon.net/item/bookly-deposit-payments-addon/17956131
The Deposit Payments add-on for your Bookly plugin allows you to set up a minimum amount that has to be paid at the time of booking. Each service and even staff member can be set up individually. And the deposit amount can be determined as a percentage of the appointment cost or as a hard amount.
Bookly Pro supports WooCommerce integration.
The purpose of this integration is to have access to other payment gateways that are not available in Bookly (but are supported by WooCommerce). So, if you enable this integration, customers will be redirected to a WooCommerce cart after the details step and payments from Bookly will be disabled. To set this integration, you'll need a "fake" product that will serve as a "bridge" between Bookly and WooCommerce.
Though, even if you use this integration you'll sell services from Bookly and not WooCommerce products.
So, if you want to use payment gateways that aren't supported natively by Bookly, you could use the WooCommerce integration. Please take into account that the booking process will remain the same, with the exception that customers will be redirected to a WooCommerce cart after the details step.
You can also check our sandbox mode which goes with almost all additional add-ons to see if Bookly Pro works for you: https://www.booking-wp-plugin.com/demo-list/
