Appointments confirmed but deposit payment not taken

Hi

Our service requires mandatory deposit payments (via Stripe checkout payment gateway) for booking appointments. Are there any ways to make sure the booking only appears on our Calendar after it's been secured with the deposit?

Some appointments are marked as pending payment but they have taken up a slot on the calendar which can be confusing and also annoying for the patient.

Cheers,

Ali

    Hello,

    Thank you for your message.

Right now, the appointment is being created once the customer passes the payment step (even if the payment is not complete). But you can use Time interval option in Settings - Payments so the appointment will be canceled if the payment is not being proceeded within this time interval.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

  • I have the same issue.

On deposit payments bookly is still booking appointments even when someone hasnt completed a payment. This is a real headache. Why is this happening. The whole purpose of deposit payments is to ensure that someone does not get a booking or appear in the calender if they have not completed a payment. The booking appears to say pending but has an allocated slot. We do not want any slots to be taken if someone has not completed a booking.

  • Hi Bookly Team,

Kindly answer us asap, I've the same issue, I could use the option you mentioned (Time interval) and it worked and the appointment is cancelled if the payment is not being proceeded, but the issue is that it still shows on the calendar, I want the appointment to be deleted instead of being cancelled !!

    Regards
