Can Bookly work with different time zones?

Yes. When the option ’Display available time slots in client’s time zone’ is enabled, your customers will see time slots and working hours according to their time zone. This is a very useful option if you and your customers are likely to be in operating in different time zones.

What does it base the time on if enabled? My browser is showing weird times that don't match with my schedule.

The time that is set on your computer, you need to check if you have set the correct time and time zone.

I have the correct time zone on my system, but the browser is showing another time zone! I have additional clocks set, but my primary clock matches the times I have set in my schedule and the results in the browser do not.

You have a time zone that is set in WordPress, that time zone is going to be the default one. If you enable this option then the customers that are located in different time zones, we'll see the converted time, and the time is going to be converted according to customer's time zone.

Hi again. I have my WordPress set to my time zone, and it appears correct for me on desktop, but for some reason on mobile (both Safari and Chrome on iPhone 6) the times are 15 hours behind. Why could that be? How can I be sure my clients in the States are seeing the right times in their time zone?

I seem to have figured out what's going wrong, but it's either a WordPress bug or Bookly doesn't work properly with WordPress time zones. If I set my website to UTC+10 which is my time zone, it all seems to work. But after a while, WordPress, all on it's own, changes my timezone to Brisbane (which is ALSO UTC+10). But when it's set to Brisbane it stuffs up all the times in Bookly. I have clients now ringing me, telling me the times are all weird. When I change it back to UTc+10 it all goes back to normal. Can you tell me is there a way to stop WordPress automatically changing UTC+10 to Brisbane, and in any case, why doesn't Bookly work with the city based time zones?
I need a solution to this as I can't go in and update my time zone 20 times a day.

Meg, I have the same issues with my clients from the us. It would be nice if the plugin would say: "Hey, we think you are in this timezone. If this is not correct, select your timezone from this list :"

I work within the UK, and i have set my times as i would in the UK. However, we operate in the USA and my clients are finding it difficult to book in there time zone with my UK booking times. How do i make sure they get the same times available to them as it is for the UK. For example: USA client wants an appointment there time 9pm until 9:30 pm, and in my time it will be 1am in the morning. They get frustrtaed as they have no slots available. Please i need an easy work round this so they can have exactly the same times, available but just in there time zone. I set things up from 9am until 3am in my timezone, so when they wake they have 9am until 3am in there time zone. We work 24 hours a day so does not matter when they book. Please help or i will lose business very quickly. Thanks

Hi Dee, you need to set the schedule so your customers from US will see the converted schedule and enable this setting "Display available time slots in client's time zone". Set the schedule by taking into account the difference in hours.

Yes - but if for some reason the browser timezone doesn't get picket up correctly (which happens with some corporates with their own internal networks) it would be neat to at least allow us to display the timezone in which the times are displayed, so that people better understand what they are looking at.

It may happen if the time is not set correctly on the computer, currently there's no option to display the time zone, you could look for third-party plugins that offer this option.

I completely agree that there needs to be a feature in which the plugin displays its guess and then allows the customer to change/select their correct time zone. Something is still amiss with this plugin's ability to guess the right time zone CONSISTENTLY. Sometimes it works perfectly, other times not. I've even pasted a shortcode from another plugin above the form which displays a guess for the user's time zone based upon the IP address and Computer time. In a number of instances, while the Wordpress shortcode displayed the CORRECT user time zone, Bookly guessed WRONG and scheduled the time for an incorrect time than reality. THIS NEED TO BE ADDRESSED instead of the Bookly support simply telling us over and over again to check our computers and that "It should work" - it does not always work!
