Bookly has stopped sending notification emails since last update.

No notification for staff or confirmation emails are sent after client book appointments. I realize this problem happened after I updated Bookly Plugin (Not Pro). Please fix this.

  • I try to send email from my site, and also send testing email from bookly. Everything works fine. When I tried to book an appointment, it stuck at the last step, still occupied time slot in my calendar, but without sending notifications email.

Please note that you have to update all the Bookly Products (including Bookly Pro add-on) to the latest available versions. You can check our changelog here: https://www.booking-wp-plugin.com/change-log/

  • Hi,

I have been a user of Bookly plugin for a number of years and have experienced email notification failure several times across the years.  Sometimes it was just a matter of updating the plugins to the latest versions.  But other times it was other factors.  However, if your website is all running well and the 'check-email' plugin is showing emails are sending properly, perhaps even other emails from other plugins on your website are also running well, but only bookly is failing, then there is one factor which I have not seen mentioned in these posts before.  Basically, if the 'sender' email address domain you have configured in Bookly does not match the website domain name where you have the bookly plugin running then emails fail I found.  Make sure your sender email address domain matches the website domain name.  That worked for me.

  • Hi,

This just happened to me, updated on to Bookly Pro (Version 6.9) it immediately stopped all emails working from the plugin on my website, all SMTP test come back as success and WP mail works as well, all details are updated to the correct email.

I have even taken it a step further and reinstalled bookly plugin, reinstalled and changed SMTP provider and and updated details via google cloud with no success.

    Here is some details

    Website ends in .com.au

    Email ends in .com

Based on Hani's response I hope this isn't going to cause any conflict as I cant change now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update: Cancellation for appointments send an email, but booking does not?

Fixed: Appointment status must match the email notification status, never had that issue before the update so just carefully check your payment, calendar and email notification statuses are all synced, and or broadened to say "All". I guess some things were reset so start from the beginning.
