Pre-Sale Question
Hi,
I'm looking at using bookly for my workshop booking system.
I have several questions,
- Does bookly have a Direct Bank Transfer option? or would I need to use WC for this?
- If, I do have to go down the Woocommerce route, would I not need to purchase the STRIPE/PayPal addons?
- Will your invoice addon work well with Woocommerce? (As I have to send some potential students an invoice, which they will then pay via direct bank transfer)
- Is group bookings addon necessary for class/workshop bookings?
Thank you very much!

Also,
Is there a way to make a 'service' have specific dates? rather than the user picking the dates?
eg. workshop 1 runs on September 16th ONLY | Workshop 2 runs on September 22nd ONLY
Hi Robbie,
Thanks for reaching out.
Direct Bank Transfer is, at this time, a gateway that isn't supported/integrated with Bookly. However, if the payment method supports WooCommerce, it should work with Bookly.
Please note that the purpose of the WooCommerce integration is to have access to other payment gateways that are not available in Bookly (but are supported by WooCommerce).
If you enable this integration, WooCommerce will be adding the Bookly items to an already existing WooCommerce cart, which means that your customers will be re-directed away from your site to WooCommerce cart after the details step, payments from Bookly will be disabled including the "Service paid locally" option, and they will be able to purchase items from Bookly and WooCommerce in one session. Therefore, purchasing Bookly's Stripe/Paypal add-ons is unnecessary.
So even if you use this integration, the booking process is maintained and you'll sell services from Bookly and not WooCommerce products.
To set this integration, you'll need "fake" products and set any price for the "fake" products since the final/total price will be taken from Bookly services and other attributes from WooCommerce will be ignored.
The "fake" products will serve as the "bridge" between Bookly and WooCommerce which means you can assign a WooCommerce product for each service separately, hence, there will be multiple products in the WooCommerce cart at the time of checkout.
We advise hiding the "fake" product from WooCommerce as you won't be selling the "fake" products to avoid confusing customers. To hide the "fake" products, you need to find (in the right part) the catalog visibility option and set it to hide: https://i.imgur.com/wyIQROe.png.

The Bookly Invoices Add-on: https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002713233-Automatic-Invoicing-Invoices-Add-on- works well with WooCommerce.
This add-on allows you to generate detailed invoices for booked services and send them automatically when appointments are booked, approved, or received which you send to your clients by email, or include links in your SMS notifications. All sent invoices are available for viewing, filtering, and downloading in PDF format in Bookly Payments reports.
This is how the Invoices Add-on works.
1. A customer books an appointment via the frontend booking form and pays it online on the ‘payment’ step of the booking form.
2. Afterwards, the customer receives the email confirmation with the invoice attached.
You can’t send an invoice to a customer first. The invoice will be sent to a customer only after a successful booking.
If you create an appointment via the backend, the customer can’t pay online (i.e.: PayPal, Stripe, etc).
If you need to accept group bookings or multiple persons for the same service at the same time and let customers specify the number of persons they’d like to book for when they choose a service at the first step of the booking process, then yes, you would need the Bookly Group Booking Add-on: https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000259594-Group-Booking-Add-on.
You should be able to create a dedicated or dummy/ placeholder staff member with all days of the year as holidays except for September 16th and September 22nd only.
Otherwise, these add-ons will help.
Bookly Special Days Add-on:
https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/212817929-Special-Days-Add-on
It allows you to set a custom schedule, including breaks that are different from default working hours/days for individual staff members. And this shift on special days from the default weekly schedule will apply to all staff members' services.
AND
Bookly Service Schedule Add-on:
https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/213850385-Services-Available-at-Limited-Hours-Service-Schedule-Add-on-
It allows you to limit the hours within staff’s daily working hours when each service is available wherein it is service-specific and interacts with staff’s working hours in such a way that service availability hours and staff working hours overlap, thus creating an interval within each staff member’s day when the service can be provided so it is set up as a one-time interval for each day of the week, with breaks during the day.
So the services will only be offered based on what you specify on the services level.
If both add-ons are installed, you can override standard working hours for specific dates on the calendar by tweaking the days and hours when individual services are available for booking (vs standard Special Days functionality, which applies them to the entire staff member’s schedule and all of their services).
You can even make the service completely unavailable for booking on particular days: select OFF in the time selection drop-down. Or make the service completely OFF every day except for Special Days.
