What Cloud Cron Does
With Cloud Cron enabled, Bookly automatically executes:
- Email notifications – Appointment reminders, birthday greetings, staff agendas, and follow-ups are sent on schedule.
- SMS notifications – Text message reminders and alerts are delivered at the right time.
- SMS campaigns – Bulk messages to your client base are processed automatically.
- Appointment status updates – Statuses change automatically based on your rules (e.g., marking past appointments as Completed).
Why It Matters
Normally, WordPress relies on WP-Cron or a server-side cron job to run scheduled tasks. If your hosting doesn’t support reliable cron execution, notifications and status updates may be delayed or missed entirely.

How to Enable Cloud Cron
- In your WordPress dashboard, go to Bookly Cloud.
- Find Cloud Cron in the list of Cloud products and click Get started.
