Important
All add-ons for Bookly require Bookly PRO installed and activated.
With the Bookly Coupons (Add-on), you can offer your clients promotional codes to pay for the service at a reduced price. Your clients will be able to apply a coupon code at the payment step of the booking process. And you can create and manage discounts, as well as keep track of statistics directly in Bookly.
Watch this video tutorial to learn how to create and manage coupon codes with the Bookly Coupons (Add-on).
Setup and configuration
1. Purchase, download and activate Bookly Coupons (Add-on) in Plugins.
2. In Bookly > Appearance > Payment tab, make sure that the box next to the 'Show coupons' option is checked.
All underlined texts are editable.
3. Create a new coupon by clicking on the Add coupon button in Bookly menu > Coupons section.
There will be several fields to fill out:
Code – a sequence of letters and/or numbers that customers can apply to the order into a coupon code box at the payment step of the booking process. Click Generate to generate a unique coupon code automatically.
Discount % (a percentage off the entire order, e.g. 10% off) and Deduction (fixed amount off, e.g. $10 off) – can be used separately or together in one coupon. If these two values are used together, the total amount is calculated with this formula Service Price – Discount (%) – Deduction
From the drop-down list, select the services and service providers to apply a coupon to.
Usage limit – max number of times the coupon can be used by all customers in total.
Once per customer – if enabled, the use of the coupon will be limited to one time per customer.
Date limit (from and to) – you can set a limited period of time when the coupon code can be applied, or specify a certain expiry date. Note: this setting doesn’t relate to the dates of the actual appointment.
Limit appointments in cart – min and max (optional) number of services of the same type required to apply a coupon. Leave these fields blank to set no restrictions.
Limit to customers – allows creating coupons for particular clients.
4. Keep track of all promotional codes in Bookly menu > Coupons and Bookly menu > Payments > Details.
To automatically add a coupon code that has been used during the booking to your email and/or SMS notifications, use {coupon} code in your notification templates.
Note: Coupons created via Bookly won't work if you use WooCommerce.
If you use both Bookly Coupons (Add-on) and Bookly Deposit Payments (Add-on), the deposit amount is deducted from the total price of the booking before a coupon code is applied, so coupons don't change the deposit amount.
Note: Currently, it's not possible to apply multiple coupons in one booking.
