Advanced Google Calendar Add-on

Important

All add-ons for Bookly require Bookly PRO installed and activated.

Integrate Bookly with Google Calendar to synchronize your schedules seamlessly. By default, Bookly PRO offers two synchronization modes:

  • One-way sync
  • Two-way front-end only

Upgrade to the Advanced Google Calendar (Add-on) for full two-way synchronization between Bookly and Google Calendar. With this add-on, all bookings created or updated in Bookly Calendar will automatically reflect in Google Calendar, and vice versa, ensuring your schedules stay perfectly aligned.

Setup

1. Purchase, download, install and activate the Bookly Advanced Google Calendar (Add-on) in Plugins.

2. Follow the instructions provided in this guide to establish the connection between your Google Account and Bookly Calendar.

3. Before selecting the synchronization type and saving your settings, ensure you implement "incremental synchronization" and register your domain. Refer to the instructions provided here for detailed guidance.

Important

For two-way synchronization, ensure your website uses HTTPS. The Google Calendar API can only send notifications to HTTPS addresses with a valid SSL certificate installed on your web server.

4. From the Synchronization mode drop-down menu, choose Two-way sync, and then click Save to apply your changes.

You can set up how the booking information will be displayed in Google Calendar.

The way the booking information is displayed in Google Calendar can be customized using the following options:

Template for event title: This allows you to select details for the event title in Google Calendar, which is generated via Bookly. Available codes include {service_name}, {category_name}, {staff_name}, and {client_names}.

Template for event description: Here, you can use available codes to include appointment-related information that will be displayed in the event description of Google Calendar.

Bookly Settings – Google Calendar sync

Synchronizing event data created in Google Calendar, Bookly creates an appointment in the Bookly Calendar for the specified date and time, with the Google Event Title as the custom service.

For events initially created in Google Calendar, the corresponding appointment in the Bookly Calendar is synced as follows:
